Bible Study: Thessalonians Part IV – Conclusion
II Thessalonians 2:13 – 3:18
This time we finish Paul’s second letter to the Thessalonians with a comment on AI’s definition of the Bible and a prayer for the men programming the AI infrastructure. We’ll also reiterate the truth that Paul’s “brethren beloved” were never destined for the Great Tribulation and more than we are, because we’re in God’s beloved son.
We’ll spend 5a few seconds refuting Calvinistic, fatalistic misinterpretations of “the beginning,” by reading what Paul said was the “calling.” Hear a quick study through some of the occurrences of standing, (as in “stand fast”), walking and running, and discover what “traditions” Paul is commanding the Thessalonians, (and us) to stand fast in!
Find out the difference between the “everlasting consolation” we have, versus the promises Abraham and Israel are still waiting for. And finally we hear Paul asks the Thessalonians for prayer that his ministry will go like theirs is! And so the Thessalonian church brings glory to the Lord with this good report recorded in scripture for all time!
And hear what the scripture teaches us is God’s method of keeping us from evil today, and from sin, and from sinning! And how and why obeying the commandments Christ gave Paul is not only possible, but the expected outcome, if it’s true that you have believed.
Paul will skyline the disorderly and even call them names, in a lesson in tough love. He’ll point to his example, call them out, and give us the proper prescription for dealing with the disorderly in the congregation. And how Paul’s grace prescription differs from “…let him be unto thee as an heathen…” in Matthew 18. We’ll also cover the fact that the word of God is sharper than any two edged sword and is a discerner of the intents of your heart.
