Bible Study: I Timothy Part IV
I Timothy 4:7 – 4:16
This time we begin with an examination of the assertion that what Exodus 20:13 should say and what it does say, and conclude that “Thou shalt not kill” teaches the Bible student far more than “you shall not murder.” Find out why the Bible itself proves that we shouldn’t tell the Bible what to say, the Bible should tell us what to say!
We look at the definition of godliness, and how it is to be pursued, at “old wives fables” and why the bible should say it just that way! Find out is “exercising” oneself unto godliness has more to do with physical fitness or avoising old wives fables. And learn what little profit physical exercise can bring.
We’ll consider the promise of this life, and the life to come and study out if that means godliness will get you “Your Best Life Now” like Joel Osteen says? Or will it bring reproach like Paul says?
