Romans Chapter 16

Well cover Paul’s introductions, his audience, building credibility, and the patriarchy; the curious ending of Romans, the turning away, the perversion of the gospel, and warnings of those who do not serve our Lord; Paul’s two sentences in Rome, the essence of the gospel; Paul’s important “post-scripts”; magnifying Paul’s gospel of grace; ans a survey of the historical narrative in Acts, (starting in Acts 20) to get the rest off the story of how Paul finally made it to Rome, and his ultimate earthly, (and heavenly) fate.

Weekly Bible Study Romans Part X

Romans 14 & 15 This week we will study about Unity in the faith at a time when there were differing requirements for some Jew’s salvation versus the gentile believers. Who is the “weaker brother” described by Paul, and why does he use the example of eating only vegetables? Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and to Azariah, (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) and studying the Bible PRIMARILY as an historical narrative.

We’ll discuss the complete nature of the Biblical Canon, and the doctrine for all believers today:

  1. God created the universe and everything in it.
  2. Sin has brought about death.
  3. All of us have sinned and will die.
  4. God offers forgiveness and salvation from death by Jesus Christ if you will believe Him.
  5. Do you believe?

We’ll examine so-called “easy-believism”, more about circumcision, failed prophecies in the bible and why they fail, the fact that God is a person, and Paul’s preaching “to the Jew first, and also to the Greek”.

Weekly Bible Study Romans Part IX

Romans 12 & 13

What is a “living sacrifice?” Are there commands to believers under grace? We’ll cover non- conformity & contrarianism, leadership qualities for the family and the church, and Paul’s subtext in Romans 12 & 13 for the unbeliever.

Are the gifts Paul discusses for today? And when is it OK to hate? We’ll cover hospitality in the age of social media, persecution of our brothers and ourselves, and where exactly is the place where we “give place to wrath?”

Hear about how living peaceably with all men as much as you are able applies to both citizens and rulers. What is the “greater judgment” for masters? And how can believers fulfill the law, apart from observing the law?
